Mary E. Karlan, LCSW
I have been interested in the field of psychology as long as I can remember! I received my Master’s degree in Social Work at Fordham University. After graduating, I did additional extensive training in couples and family therapy at Ackerman Institute for the Family in New York City. My internships while in graduate school involved working with adoption services, and working in a high school for at-risk teens. I then went on to be the Program Director for Older Adult Services at Jewish Family Services of Greenwich, where I eventually decided to continue there as a clinical therapist. After seven years, I decided to start my own practice: MK Psychotherapy.
I was born in Greenwich, CT and then went on to live and raise my own family there. I spend my free time year round at the local beach, Greenwich Point, either going for an early morning run or walking my dogs when the season permits! Some other interests of mine, when not working, include riding with Soulcycle, listening to music, and yoga.
